    Cinevolution
Now approaching its fourth year, Cinevolution Media Arts Society is the Finalist of the Cultural Leadership Award of the 2011 Richmond Arts Awards. Based in Richmond BC, Cinevolution has been playing a leading role in promoting film and new media arts in this city. For the past three year, it has successfully presented the New Asia Film Festival, and also coordinated the inaugural Dream Project through which professional filmmakers mentored young people to create animation. In 2011, in conjunction with the City of Richmond, Cinevolution will presents a new

vision for a popular film celebration. The former New Asia Film Festival has changed its name to Richmond International Film & Media Arts Festival (July 21-24, 2011), and will expand from an Asia-focused film event into a community celebration of international film and media arts. Meanwhile, Cinevolution has also initiated a new community digital storytelling project: My Richmond Story.
